Been a while in the works, but we have an official site for MAWI 151, Oklahoma's own cable wakeboard park. Come back often as the site grows and changes what we hope to be a portal to a summer of fun just north of Oklahoma City.
So, just what is a Cable Park?? An electrically driven motor pulls you and 6 or 7 others in a circular path over our 8 acre lake while you either take on the obstacles, such as rails, ramps, buoys, and others.. or you avoid them totally for a relaxing spin around the lake. The electric motor driving the system is good for the planet, and the ride can be a real rush! No Boat. No Gas. No long drive to the lake, just an afternoon of fun on the lake! An automatic system couples your rope to the moving cable, and off you go for an amazing wet ride!
But I don't own a wakeboard!!! Not a problem, grab a pair of board shorts, and come on out! We offer rentals of everything you will need.. and for that matter, we can sell you the board shorts, quality wake boards, bindings, and a lot of other items in our fully equipped Pro Shop!
How much does this all cost? Well, that varies with how long you want to ride, and whether you already have all of your equipment, but you can ride for less than $20. And you were thinking about that new Nautique Tow Boat??? Speaking of rates, our "Season Passes" have been changed to ANNUAL PASSES !! Now you have a full 12 months pass privileges ! For those warm days on the fall, and those early riders in the spring .. you are covered! If you purchase your pass in December, it is good until the end of the next December. Parents !! Thinking of the perfect gift for your young wakeboard enthuiast? MAWI 151 Annual passes could be the answer! Annual Passes are now available for purchase!
Where in the world is MAWI 151? Interstate 35, exit 151 between Edmond and Guthrie OK. Near Stillwater for you OSU fans, and still close to Norman, for those of you of the crimson and cream OU persuasion. Not far from Tinker Air Force Base.. in fact we have many regular riders from Lawton, home of Ft. Sill. In short, we are close to about everything, right here in Mid America, just north of Oklahoma City.
